However, sometimes it needs a little help overcoming vacuum lock. This most often occurs after long storage periods, or after you run out of gas, and the engine stalls. WebThe hubs just won't engage. WebOct 2, 2014 · It's almost always a sign of 1 of these. Low voltage to the solenoid or bad solenoid. 90% the low voltage. Check your batt voltage 12.5v or more would be nice then clean, check, tighten every connection between the batt and your solenoid. If all of this passes take the wire going to your starter and connect it direct to positive batt. On the 2007 models and up they did away with that concept and added a real fuse panel. I think your 2005 XP has a similar PCM concept as my old 2006 XP.
